Basic Facts

Today Mr Wong created a basic facts DLO Challenge and shared it to Mrs Anderson's maths group. Today I practiced Addition and Subtraction. I use different strategies to solve these problems. One of the strategies I used was starting with the biggest number and rounding up to 10.

wheel word

For reading I did wheel words. It was hard because I only see word when they are easy to do then I was getting used of finding the words.  The 9 letter word one was hard to find because you had to use all the letters to make a 9 letter word, The 6 letter word was a little bit hard. The 5 letter word was a little bit easy and the 4 letter word was easy to find.

Today for reading my group did some arrows so we can put it next to the word like title then we put a arrow next to it. With the arrow we put the arrow next to the word, photo, ending or start on the arrow it had words like Index, title and other ones that relates to a book .After we are done chavada and Angela took some photo's and shared.

Orchestra trip

Today some of the LS2 went to the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra so we went on a bus so we can get their when when we got in the building LS2 was waiting. When we were waiting then one for the performers came out and stared the to name some of the different sections trumpet, trombone, tuba, french horn and brass then the woodwind flute, oboe, bassoon and clairint then we had a bull fight that came and sang a song and the then the percussion drums, cymbals and  triangle and then the stings violin, viola, cello and double bass. The conductor guides the musicians. When we were listening it was loud, soft slow and fast. At the End LS2 watch a dance from the ST ketns and Ngatapawae college
