Early Maori Enterprise

This week for inquiry we made some notes so we can summarising them. We made five sentcse talking about Enterprise and Econmics then we made 5 sensce with 10 syllables.

Early Maori Enterprise started with tribes trading items all over New Zealand. Trades included a variety of foods, baskets and jewellery. Later on British travellers came to New Zealand asking for food, and other items. This turned into trades where the Maori people sold their valuable land and foods for unfair returns. This resulted in the Maori people selling too much of their land and belongings, leaving them with little to nothing.

Maori enterprise started with trading. They traded items like food and clothing. Soon British travellers came wanting food. The British also wanted to buy land. Then Maori sold too much, they lost their land.

Phonics AP words

One day me and my uncle went out fishing, we were driving around on the boat then surprisingly we caught a snapper. We pulled the snapper up then it started to flap around it slapped me in the face when I was going to stab it. After fishing we trapped some wild pigs so we can kill them I was so happy that we caught wild pigs because they like to break stuff so catching them are so fun. After doing everything we went back to his house so exhausted from hunting and fishing. He jumped in bed and I slept on the couch and went to have a nap

First thing we did was find words that have ap in them. We looked for words that had AP in the begaining, in the middle and at the end. We made up a sentences and put AP words in them. We took senctences from each paragrah around the group. WE found 3 words that begn with 'cap' then had to find the dictionary defininition. Our words were, captain, Capital, Capacity we find out the definition of what the the word means. We also listened to a short story and answered questions about the story.

Do you need to practise your 6x?

The maths game I created helps you to practise the 6 x table. If get the correct answer you will see I have made an animated gif that shows you your answer was correct. If you get the wrong answer you will find there is a link which leads to a DLO that reminds you about the 6x table. Once you have watched that you can try the question again. Creating this maths game challenged me to think about my wrong answers just as much as my correct answers because I didn’t want to make it too easy. I also had to think about the layout of my game, the size of my font and the colours I used. When I completed my game I asked a friend to play it to see if all the links work. The feedback I got meant I needed to change the size of my font because it was too big and made the options too hard to see.
