Lorde

Today I created a poster about the singer Lorde. I made this DLO because of the SLJ we are talking about changemakers so we went to the SLJ site and click Teaser week. First thing I did was look for facts about her one fact said she was a high school dropout. She rose in fame becuase of one song called Royals she made the song in 2013.

MOTAT and Mind Lab

Yesterday Room 5, LS1 and LS2 went to MOTAT. We went to Mind Lab and met our MOTAT teachers, Emma, Kenzie and Damon. Emma asked us all a question it was 'Do you know what STEAM is' someone said 'Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics' LS1 explored MOTAT when LS2 and Room 5 stayed and did our engineering challenges. LS2 went with Kenzie first and had to build an electric car using batteries. Sadly me and my partner's car didn't work because the wheels kept jamming. In our next session we went to Emma and tried to make a light bulb turn on by making the light go with some lego. After we we finished we started to have lunch and then we went to explore MOTAT. It was fun exploring MOTAT because we learned what they used before we had Chromebooks and mobile phones. It was a fun day.

Tranport ship

Today in Inquiry I have worked together with Chavda,Jonathan, Florence and I. We were all giving different roles to get this work done. I was doing some of the information and I was also doing the images, Nevaeh was doing Who, What, When, Where, Why and how with Florence. I learnt that it took the Soldiers and etc on the boat 48 days from Australia to Egypt to fight. We have being working on this DLO since the morning block to the afternoon.

Tsunami

This week for reading we worked collaboratively to find information about Tsunamis. In my group was Miiana, Matthew, and Florence. First, we started off with writing down the things we already knew about Tsunami's, Questions that we wanted to know about Tsunami and things we learned about Tsunamis. Then we made a D.L.O about basic information on Tsunamis. The most interesting thing I found out about Tsunami was that it is a Japanese word for "Harbour Wave".
