The fist settlers would have been very brave moving to a whole new land. I don't think I could ever be that brave!
To earn full points for this activity, can you pretend you are one of the first settlers and write a letter back home to one of your friends? Remember to tell them what you have seen and how they feel about moving away.
I look forward to reading more of your blog over summer. Cheers, Ruby.
Kia Ora Nevaeh, I would love to sail too! Imagine how challenging it was to go across oceans using only man power in a small boat like the waka?! I think these sailors were very brave indeed and truly visionaries. I hope you are enjoying your holidays and by now starting to think about your school return, only 2 weeks to go. If you would like to continue with the activities follow this link https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/weekly-activities/week-one Give it a go! You will find that the activities are fun and highly engaging. I can't wait to see your posts.
